Welcome to JRO Bars & Events Ltd! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using our website (https://jrobarevents.co.uk/) and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services.
2. Eligibility
When making the booking with JRO Bars & Events Ltd, the named person must be over the age of 18 years old and be one of the guests who attend the event. This person is responsible for making sure the terms of the booking are adhered to.
3. Services
JRO Bars & Events Ltd provides event planning and bar hire services. Our offerings include, but are not limited to, bar hire, staffing for events, and cocktail masterclasses. The details of the services provided will be agreed upon in the contract for each event.
4. Booking and Payments
- All bookings require a deposit to secure the date. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be detailed in the booking agreement.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid to secure your booking, after which you will receive a booking confirmation.
- Full payment must be received 4 weeks before the event date. Payment should be made via BACS to the JRO account.
- Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of services.
- Any additional costs incurred during the event will be invoiced after the event and must be paid within 14 days.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations within 14 days of the event date. We will notify receipt of all payments by email.
5. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event will incur a fee of 50% of the total booking cost.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will incur a fee of 100% of the total booking cost.
6. Liability
- JRO Bars & Events Ltd shall not be responsible for any accident happening, injury suffered, or damage to any property throughout the event or when we are on site.
- We carry public liability insurance, and a copy of our policy is available upon request.
- Clients are responsible for any damage or loss to equipment caused by guests at the event.
7. Client Responsibilities
- The client must ensure that the venue is suitable for the setup and operation of our services.
- The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or licenses for the event.
- The client must provide accurate information regarding the event requirements.
- If children are to be present at the event, the client should ensure that there are enough adults present to properly supervise them and take care of them. Childcare is not the responsibility of JRO Bars & Events Ltd.
8. Staff and Conduct
- Our staff will conduct themselves professionally at all times. Any inappropriate behavior towards our staff will result in immediate cessation of services without a refund.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to guests who are intoxicated or behaving inappropriately.
- JRO Bars & Events Ltd staff are trained to implement the CHALLENGE 21 policy, whereby guests over the age of 18 but appear to look under 21 will be required to show photo ID if requested by our staff. Guests who cannot produce the required ID on request will not be served.
9. Health and Safety
- Your chosen venue must be safe for work, including a water supply that is not contaminated, safe and even flooring where staff are expected to work and serve from, sufficient and safe electricity supply, areas for loading/unloading equipment and consumables next to the venue, and secure parking for staff.
- Inappropriate language and behavior from guests will not be tolerated and may result in our team leaving the venue early without completion of services.
- We have team members qualified in basic First Aid at Work, but we are not qualified to carry out First Aid on clients or guests. Ensure your venue has a First Aider available if needed.
10. Equipment and Waste
- Please review our confirmation email for delivery and set-up times for our equipment, as well as pack-down and collection details.
- JRO Bars & Events Ltd will only be responsible for the rubbish of the bar. We will ensure that all rubbish, including cans, bottles, and plastics, are bagged and removed before leaving the site. Hired glassware will be neatly packed away in their trays ready for collection.
11. Force Majeure
We shall not have any liability to you under this contract or be deemed to be in breach of it for any delays or failures in performance which result from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including bad weather, interruptions to power supplies, acts of God, terrorist activities, fire, epidemic, civil disturbance, natural disaster, governmental or regulatory action, and similar events outside our reasonable control. If such an event occurs, which impacts our ability to provide the services as agreed, we will promptly notify you.
12. Photography
We frequently take photographs of our weddings and events for advertising and social media. Posts/advertisements won’t be published until at least 24 hours after the event. Please email us if you would not like us to take photographs of your event and use them for this purpose.
13. Law and Jurisdiction
This contract shall be governed and construed by the law of England, and you and we agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
